The Real Estate Lounge Chicago Welcomes Mitch Aronson

Lifelong Chicagoan and Rogers Park dweller Mitch Aronson has joined the team at The Real Estate Lounge Chicago. A consummate real estate professional, Mitch is loved by his many buying and selling clients. Looking at his picture even reminded me of a few funny and relevant “wassup” videos currently making the rounds on you tube.

Federal Reserve Reduces Overnight Rate

Another rate reduction by the Fed, the 9th since September ’07. The hope is that a global and national recession can be mitigated, though time will tell. Lower rates should free up funds for credit, a good thing in most circumstances. But tomorrow’s GDP numbers will show another quarter of falling GDP, thus meeting the criteria of a classic recession.

Striking Gold in Chicago’s Gold Coast Real Estate

A neighbor walked on eggshells at the park today thinking all was gloom and doom in the Chicago real estate market. Certainly we are experiencing tumult, but my buying clients are aggressively looking in areas like Chicago’s Gold Coast.

Chicago – Top Ranked City

An early email got me to thinking, how is Chicago regarded outside of Chicago? A short dash through google suggests Chicago is well-regarded. So says FastCompany.com, Conde Nast, Travel + Leisure and others. No wonder the team at The Real Estate Lounge Chicago encounters so many corporate relocation clients.

A Rainy Monday Bike Ride to Cast Early Ballot in Chicago

Our desire for a long bike ride was abbreviated by a rainy Chicago Monday. But the rain didn’t stop us from heading to the Edgewater Public Library to cast ballots. With the boys in their bike seats the weather cooperated and we got to the polling place with five minutes to spare. And so we played our small part in what we hope is a new direction for our wonderful country.
