A Chicago tv-watching Remembrance – Thoughts of Ray Rayner
You never know what will trigger a memory. Yesterday as I clicked on a hilarious website that pictures Sarah Palin sitting in the Oval Office I thought of Ray Rayner, an icon of my childhood tv-viewing. Years later I remember his a kind, steady, and very reasonable – the selfsame qualities I want in my presidential candidate. At the end of the day, such qualities are critical to steer the country forward and to extricate ourselves from this current economic morass.

Ben Bernanke said the economy will rebound with vigor. The question is when. A key element to the renewal of the market is consumer confidence, an ethereal thing rooted in optimism. The rain stopped as the train arrived and we toured the streets of Edgewater aboard the Chicago Kiddie Express train for Jackson’s third birthday. I do a great job as a father.
