If Seuss Were a god – Can a Rhyme Make it Real? Does it Matter?
If Seuss were a god
A myth not a man
Would we do everything
Everything that we can
Can do, I mean,
In spirit and deed
Would rhyming come natural
Would it roll forth with speed
Or would circumspect be
both the norm and the way
Living ‘tween lines
Never stopping to play?
Hmm, for my part a rhyme
It’s a good place to start
Good for the soul, the brain
And the heart!
Some may say nonsense!
As they make a to do
But if Seuss were a god
We’d know what was true
