Chicago Photo Enforced Intersections – Sense or Cents?

Chicago has implemented a system of photo enforced intersections, the efficacy of which I question as drivers become a bit shell-shocked and ride their brakes even as they approach green lights, not wanting to run the risk of getting a ticket from the mechanical device that serves as the gate keeper.

A Real Chicago Landmark – Remembering Colette McCarey

My mom Colette McCarey was a real Chicago landmark. She introduced me to the city’s culture, its museums, its lakefront and its beauty. She died a week ago Monday, and I bid her a peaceful journey and mark her passing with a few remembrances.
