22 Quarters for 105 Minutes of Parking in Chicago

Chicago real estate professional Tom McCarey had to turn his truck upside down today to find quarters to feed the meter as he conducted his business. Usually a credit card in the kiosk is how he pays for parking. But having left home today without plastic he turned to coins and realized that 22 quarters paid for only an hour and 45 minutes of parking. Ouch!

google talk . making the computer a boom box-sized phone

It wouldn’t be a vacation without a bit of work. Such was the case nearly 5000 miles and seven time zones away as I blended just a bit of work in with touring Paris. Helping the cause was a host of google tools including google talk which enabled my computer to become a de facto phone and was more than a de facto means of finalizing talks on two single family transactions.
